Ta Dung lake – Ha Long Bay of Central Highland
Ta Dung Lake (in Dak Som Commune, Dak G’Long District, Dak Nong Province) is one of the most impressive destinations belonging to UNESCO Global Geopark, belonging to Ta Dung Nature Reserve and is named as Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands.
Ta Dung Expedition Tour will take you a path through the beautiful natural landscape, participate in interesting activities such as exploring the broken volcano geological layer, walking among the ancient forests, bathing in waterfalls, playing SUP on the Ta Dung lake and immerse yourself in nature.

The tour departs every Friday evening with the group of minimum 9 pax and maximum 15 pax. In case you need a private tour, Simple Backpackers are pleased to serve all your needs with the demand of flexible time.
Departure (at night)
20h00 Pick up at bus stop. Tour guides help you find your seats and arrange the luggage.

1st day
MORNING
- Arrive Ta Dung, checkin guest house and rest
- Watch the sunrise on Ta Dung lake from above at the place with the best view of Ta Dung
- Start the trek. You will go through the grass hill and to the cliff, where there is a wide view of Dong Nai 3 hydroelectric dam from the hill. Then continues to move along the rocky slope and explore the broken volcano geological layer hidden in the ancient forest.
- Continue going through the coffee hill and visit the Ba Tang waterfall – one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Ta Dung. You are free to bathe in the waterfall and have a hydromassage
AFTERNOON
- Enjoy lunch and take a short rest
- Take a boat and visit Ta Dung lake
- The boat stops at Lan Rung island. Receive your camping accommodation and relax. You are free to immerse yourself in the cool and blue water of Ta Dung Lake (equipped with life jackets for each guest) and wait for the sunset.
EVENING
- BBQ with fire camp. Hear legendary stories about Ta Dung from local people
- Take a deep rest
2nd day
MORNING
- Have breakfast, sip early hot tea | coffee
- Back to the mainland by boat. Continue the trek along the lake, through the forest in La Bep hill and visit the Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage Banyan Tree
AFTERNOON
- Enjoy lunch and summarize the trip
- Buy souvenirs in Dak Nong (optional)
- Sleeping bus takes you back to Saigon
EVENING
The bus will arrive at Saigon around 7PM, depending on the actual traffic situation.

TOUR POLICY
Transfer 100% of the total price is required to secure your reservation and for well preparation (Deposit of 500,000 VND is available for reservation). Once the booking has been processed, you will receive a Reservation Confirmation email that outlines a summary of your booking. Please review the information carefully and contact us if you have any questions or require any changes.
Cancellation (backward from the departure day)
- Before 10 days: return 100% attending fee
- Before 7 days: return 50% attending fee
- Before 5 days: return 10% attending fee
- From day 4 to departure day: not return
Postponement or change tour: (backward from the departure day)
- Before 10 days: Free
- Before 7 days: surcharge 40% attending fee
- Before 5 days: surcharge 70% attending fee
- From day 4 to departure day: as cancellation and make new registration. Pay 100% attending fee
Note: Customers will be returned or surcharge the difference of cost between two tours
COMMITMENT
- Being responsible for your health conditions and were instructed to participate in the tour.
- Being responsible for any health problems to treat that may cause danger during your participation in the tour and being approved by your doctor that you can participate in this tour.
- Being noticed that trekking can cause several unwanted injuries and you accept that may occur during your participation in this tour.
- No tree cutting and No hunting. Do not leave in the campsite at night. Using torch and moving safely while going around campsite at night.
- Go above the first tour guide or go behind the last tour guide is prohibited. Do not leave the team without permission of tour leader or inform any tour guide.
- Keep the environment clean. No littering. All organic or inorganic waste will be handled by our tour guides.
- Do not swim in the ocean, river, stream, lake, or enter the dangerous area without your tour guide's consent and without protective equipment.
- Inform the nearest tour guide as soon as you need help or something goes wrong.
- Not carry explosives, chemicals that affect the forest habitat.
- Follow the guidance of the tour guide team when participating in activities. Comply with the decisions of tour leader when problem occurs.
- Comply with the the laws of Vietnam.
