Lao Than peak: Lao Cai
With the elevation of 2,860 m, Lao Than peak is considered “the roof of Y Ty”, located in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province. This mount is an amazing place that nature bestows for those who love trekking to catch the breathtaking scenery “Cloud Paradise”.
Lao Than has a diverse but not too complicated topography, with forests, streams and cliffs. This is the best choice for weekend trip to escape the noisy city.

The tour departs every Friday evening with the group of minimum 9 pax and maximum 15 pax. In case you need a private tour, Simple Backpackers are pleased to serve all your needs with the demand of flexible time.
Departure (at night)
23h00 Pick up at My Dinh bus station in Hanoi. Tour guides help you find your seats and arrange the luggage.
23h30 Departure
Customers will be advised and guide how to travel in other areas.
Pick-up information will be updated directly 3 days before departure by email and phone.
1st day
MORNING
- Arrive bus station in Sapa and receive your luggage
- Enjoy breakfast at Sapa and learn trip’s policies
- Transfer to Y Ty. On the way, you can .enjoy the majestic mountain scenery
- Relax at small village in Y Ty
AFTERNOON
- Luch time and short naps to full fill energy for the evening trek
- Conquer the steep slopes and reach the campsite
- Relax and waiting for the sunset moments with floating sea of clouds
EVENING
- A warm dinner near the wood stove with BBQ and warm wine.
- Take deep rest
2nd day
MORNING
- Wake up in the early morning, enjoy warm breakfast and breathe the fresh cool air
- Start the second day trek with light backpack and reach the top of Lao Than.
- Come back to the campsite and then ready to move down
AFTERNOON
- Relax and have lunch
- Transfer back to Sapa. Time for bathing and relaxing after a long trip
EVENING
- Enjoy a small party with Northwest special food and share your feeling of the trip
- Free and easy time in Sapa
- Depart from Sapa back to Hanoi.
The bus will arrive at Hanoi around 4:30AM the next morning, depending on the actual traffic situation.

Use fresh and healthy quality local foods to ensure the nutritional ingredients of each meal. Separate menu for vegetarians and people on diets is available.
Drinks: 1.5 liters of water per guest each day
ACCOMMODATION
- Tent for each group of 3 or 4 pax. (Material resistant to rain, wind, anti-insect and ventilation)
- Insulation sheet for each tent and personal sleeping bag

"Safety first". Each tourist is protected by highest domestic travel insurance package (up to 100 millions Vietnam Dong worth of liability for loss or damage)

TOUR POLICY
Transfer 100% of the total price is required to secure your reservation and for well preparation (Deposit of 500,000 VND is available for reservation). Once the booking has been processed, you will receive a Reservation Confirmation email that outlines a summary of your booking. Please review the information carefully and contact us if you have any questions or require any changes.
Cancellation (backward from the departure day)
- Before 10 days: return 100% attending fee
- Before 7 days: return 50% attending fee
- Before 5 days: return 10% attending fee
- From day 4 to departure day: not return
Postponement or change tour: (backward from the departure day)
- Before 10 days: Free
- Before 7 days: surcharge 40% attending fee
- Before 5 days: surcharge 70% attending fee
- From day 4 to departure day: as cancellation and make new registration. Pay 100% attending fee
Note: Customers will be returned or surcharge the difference of cost between two tours
COMMITMENT
- Being responsible for your health conditions and were instructed to participate in the tour.
- Being responsible for any health problems to treat that may cause danger during your participation in the tour and being approved by your doctor that you can participate in this tour.
- Being noticed that trekking can cause several unwanted injuries and you accept that may occur during your participation in this tour.
- No tree cutting and No hunting. Do not leave in the campsite at night. Using torch and moving safely while going around campsite at night.
- Go above the first tour guide or go behind the last tour guide is prohibited. Do not leave the team without permission of tour leader or inform any tour guide.
- Keep the environment clean. No littering. All organic or inorganic waste will be handled by our tour guides.
- Do not swim in the ocean, river, stream, lake, or enter the dangerous area without your tour guide's consent and without protective equipment.
- Inform the nearest tour guide as soon as you need help or something goes wrong.
- Not carry explosives, chemicals that affect the forest habitat.
- Follow the guidance of the tour guide team when participating in activities. Comply with the decisions of tour leader when problem occurs.
- Comply with the the laws of Vietnam.
